Daddy Mojo's

It seems that liquor sales and video poker are keeping this place afloat, which is kinda too bad, because the food is on the good end of the family-restaurant spectrum. Which is to say -- it's lowbrow. But the Friday shrimp boil is a pound of shrimp with the trimmings for less than $10. Pecan pancakes are highway robbery -- I don't know, maybe $7 a plate, but quite good, served with some food-service pancake syrup. Quit wincing -- you grew up with it too! We've gone there less since I was bit with the low-carb bug because, outside breakfast, there isn't that much that works with the diet that I can stand. But, the allure of a place that sells beer, and doesn't have a wait, and isn't smokey is very strong indeed. So we go back fairly often.
